Madonna Slams Fans for ‘Illogical and Self-Contradictory’ Lawsuit

Madonna has some strong words for a few of her fans who filed a lawsuit after one of her Celebration Tour concerts started a couple of hours late.
A couple of months after concertgoers Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden filed a suit against the singer after her December concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, started at 10:30 p.m. instead of the advertised 8:30 p.m. start time, Madonna is reportedly filing a motion to dismiss the case.
"These allegations not only fail to state a claim, but are also illogical and self-contradictory," Madonna's court filing reportedly read.
The pop star argued that Fellows and Hadden didn't receive their tickets until after they were purchased and paid for, therefore they couldn't've been misled by anything written on the tickets before buying them.
Madonna's filing went on, "Nor do Plaintiffs allege any other allegedly false advertising that they purport to have relied upon in deciding to purchase their tickets. This alone requires dismissal of the Complaint in its entirety."
The original lawsuit brought by the concertgoers argued that the singer, along with Live Nation and Barclays Center, did not warn fans of the delay when they should have and argued that Madonna has a history of starting concerts late.
Because of the late start time, audience members were "left stranded in the middle of the night... with limited public transportation," and "had to get up early to go to work and/or take care of their family responsibilities the next day," according to the suit obtained by Billboard.
RadarOnline.com reported that the 65-year-old's motion to dismiss also referenced a since-deleted social media post from one of the plaintiffs that said they "never missed a Madonna Tour" as proof that they also knew of the singer's history of delays before purchasing a ticket.
As of writing, there is no word yet on a judge's ruling about possibly dismissing the case.
The concert in question happened in December, although it was scheduled for July. The show was delayed as Madonna dealt with a serious sickness.
