London Clinic CEO Addresses Alleged Kate Middleton Records Security Breach

The London Clinic has officially issued a statement in response to allegations that members of the hospital tried to access Kate Middleton's private medical records in order to figure out what is really going on with the Princess of Wales.

Princess Kate, who underwent abdominal surgery in January, recently became the center of skepticism and conspiracy theories about her whereabouts after she hadn't made a public appearance in months.

Amid the ongoing questions about her current status, reports of a security breach at The London Clinic surfaced this week, prompting the hospital to launch an investigation, per reports from the Daily Mail on Tuesday, March 19.

The London Clinic CEO Al Russell directly addressed the situation the following day, telling NBC News in a statement on Wednesday, "Everyone at The London Clinic is acutely aware of our individual, professional, ethical and legal duties with regards to patient confidentiality."

Russell claimed that the hospital has "systems in place to monitor management of patient information and, in the case of any breach, all appropriate investigatory, regulatory and disciplinary steps will be taken."

"There is no place at our hospital for those who intentionally breach the trust of any of our patients or colleagues," the CEO of the hospital added.

According to the initial report from the Daily Mail, an insider at the hospital described the allegations as "a major security breach," which could be "incredibly damaging for the hospital, given its unblemished reputation for treating members of the Royal Family."

The London Clinic is also reported to be treating King Charles III amid his ongoing battle with cancer.

The Daily Mail's source said Kate is already aware of the situation after hospital staffers "contacted Kensington Palace immediately "after the alleged incident was brought to their attention.
