Lindsey Vonn called out body shamers on social media.

On Friday, the 36-year-old Olympic skier shared a series of bikini-clad photos along with screenshots of comments that described her “fat knees” and more. Vonn captioned the pictures with an inspiring message about body positivity.

“I’ve posted quite a few swimsuit pics lately, which is scarier than it seems,” she wrote. “Even as an athlete there are ruthless comments and media stories that tear apart my body and I admit it sometimes hurts me. I’m a normal person and sometimes I slouch, my stomach folds over, my cellulite shows on my butt, or I don’t fill out my swimsuit top just right....But, I always remember how my body has helped me achieve amazing things in my life and I am proud of how strong I am. I’m not a size zero and that’s perfectly fine with me.”

The athlete added that she never edits her photos and has never had plastic surgery. “I am 100% natural and 100% Lindsey,” she wrote. “So to anyone who is feeling self conscious or down about their appearance; stay strong, stay healthy and love yourself no matter what the haters say.”

Fans showed their appreciation for Vonn’s candidness and empowering message.

“Mic drop! Well done. [You’re] incredible! Only post I need to read today,” one person wrote.

“The world needs to hear more of this! Thanks for being 100% real and 100% Lindsey!” Someone else wrote.

“This is amazing. Thanks for sharing. Girls need a strong role model. Thanks for being honest and true to yourself,” another fan commented.

This is not the first time that Vonn has bared her “flaws” to fans. In 2017, she shared a photo on Twitter showing a long scar on the back of her right arm that was visible in a sleeveless black dress she wore during Milan Fashion Week. “My scars remind me that I am strong and beautiful,” she tweeted. Vonn got the scar after a 2016 accident she got while training in Colorado, according to People.
