For the greater part of my teenage years, I thought my first tattoo was going to be of an olive branch. I remember drawing up a sketch and saving it in my desk drawer for my future appointment. I moved on from the idea as the years went on. Funnily enough, it ended up being my sister's first tattoo, which didn’t shock me, since we both love the design. What did surprise me, however, was seeing olive branches that reminded me so much of my original drawing embossed all over Le Creuset’s cookware in summer of 2022.
Fittingly named the Olive Branch Collection, this release has stuck in my head for years as one of my favorite designs Le Creuset has ever unveiled. It features embossed olive branches that wrap around a variety of the brand’s pieces, inspired by the sunny olive fields in Provence, France. Despite this mug being a simpler item, I think the olive branch design really shines on it. It spreads all around the outer glaze, and pops no matter what color you choose (I am partial to matte white and olive). It's made from the brand's stoneware, which is dishwasher-, microwave- and oven-safe up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (which is great for keeping the mugs warm). It has a classic design with a 14-ounce capacity, so there’s plenty of room for coffee, hot chocolate and tea.

This chef’s oven is another standout from the collection. It’s similar to the brand’s Dutch ovens in that it's made from the same enameled cast iron, which is essential for optimal heat retention. Where it differs slightly is its shape, since the tapered bottom is more rounded off.
