Last of Us Part 2 No Return
PlayStation has dropped the first look at the new No Return mode coming to The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered.
It looks brutal, like, really nasty. We see plenty of violence against other humans and the infected, as well as curious tricks such as a chained infected, possibly being used as bait?
No Return is a single player mode, placing players in randomised encounters that they must survive for as long as possible. Set in locations familiar from the mainline story mode, each encounter ends with a boss fight, unlocking skins as you go. There are also random modifiers to keep the gameplay feeling fresh.
Characters confirmed for The Last of Us 2 Remastered No Return mode include Ellie, Abby, Dina, Jesse, Lev and Tommy.
No Return is a new mode added to the remastered release of The Last of Us Part 2 for PS5. As well as the new mode, players can also explore cut locations and scenes from the original game, complete with developer commentary. Interestingly, at least one of those cut scenes will feature in The Last of Us Season 2 when it streams on Netflix, according to game developer Neil Druckmann.
Sony released the trailer for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered No Return last night, clashing with the first trailer for Rockstar’s highly-anticipated GTA 6.
