Las Vegas' Ski Resort Hit With 28 Inches Of Snow

Lee Canyon, NV, previously called Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, posted an update to Instagram that may come as a surprise with things feeling like spring these days.

The resort received 28 inches from a recent storm total and conditions are reported to be "amazing" starting this week.

The storm even closed State Highway 156 due to the extensive cleanup process from all of the snow. See below.

Nevada is America's most mountainous state in the lower 48, and Lee Canyon in Las Vegas has a summit of 11,289 ft.

The resort has plenty of terrain to choose from, from cut trails to expert glades.

The resort sees some serious powder days. One family recorded one such day, where they got pretty fresh tracks, and posted the video to YouTube. Watch below.

Tomorrow, the resort is hosting "Tuesday Tracks", an event running from 12-4pm that includes music from Vegas’ best local DJs at Bristlecone Bar.

Lee Canyon advertises the event to guests, writing, "take a few laps, stop for a few tracks, & find what makes riding at Lee Canyon during the week pure magic."

Other than trails to yourself, shorter lift lines, and skiing in one of the most mountainous states in the continental U.S., that is.

Lift tickets purchased online & in advance include a $10 resort credit.
