Lainey Wilson

Lainey Wilson was simply stunning as she arrived on the red carpet in her usual countrified style at the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Sun., April 7.

The "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" singer arrived at this year’s ceremony as one of its leading nominees. Wilson has three nominations to her name this year, as does Kelsea Ballerini, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll and Megan Moroney.

Wilson, 31, rolled up to the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, roughly an hour before the ceremony was due to begin at 8 p.m. ET. She posed for photographers while dressed in a figure-hugging ensemble made up of a metallic silver top and a pair of fitted black-and-silver polka-dotted bootcut pants.

Of course, she couldn't forget to add a cowgirl hat to the look, as she opted for sophisticated country chic with a classic black wide-brimmed hat.

The country star arrived for the ceremony just two months after winning her first Grammy Award in February. She took home the Best Country Album award for Bell Bottom Country, an album she released in late 2022.

At this year’s CMT Awards, Wilson has been nominated in the Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year categories for her “Watermelon Moonshine” music video. She has also been nominated for her featured performance in Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real’s “More Than Friends” video in the event’s Collaborative Video of the Year category.

Aside from her nominations, the “Heart Like a Truck” singer has an important role to play at this year’s ceremony. The event’s organizers announced last week that Wilson would be part of an all-star tribute performance honoring country star Toby Keith, who died in February at 62 following his battle with stomach cancer. Brooks & Dunn and Sammy Hagar were also announced as contributing performers. Lukas Nelson, Roger Clemens and members of Keith’s band are expected to perform, as well.
