It makes sense for Lady Gaga to be wearing lots of patriotic sports-themed apparel, like her football purse, in the days leading up to her performance at what might be the most American sporting event of the year, the Super Bowl. Which appears to be why she chose to where a red, white and blue trendy track ensemble at Thursday’s Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show Press Conference.

Her outfit consisted of a navy blue half-zip track-jacket-esque pullover with red and gray leather stripes, and a wrap skirt that featured red and navy color blocking and a front slit. Her matching knee-high lace-up sneaker-inspired heeled boots had a thick white platform and chunky red heel. Her only accessory was a football.

With all the colors of the American flag represented, she looked like the poster child for Americana fashion. But the funny thing is, that’s not at all what that outfit is. The ensemble is by Italian fashion house Versace. Now, that’s not very patriotic, is it? If she were going for the all-American goal, she’d wear one of the many amazing American designers—Kenneth Cole, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, to name a few. Alas, every item she wore was from Versace’s Spring 2017 collection.

Of course, Gaga has never been one to play by the rules, now, has she?
