Kim Kardashian Was On Fire At the CFDAs. Literally.

Kanye West and Pharrell are clearly pals and their friendship made for some great moments on the red carpet — and on stage at the CFDA’s where Kanye awarded Pharrell his Fashion Icon Award – last night. The two of them, alongside their respective wives Kim Kardashian and Helen Lasichanh, were really cute posing together, giving the peace sign and sharing a laugh. It wouldn’t be hard to imagine the four of them going on a double date and it being the best time ever.

But apparently, their hijinx went beyond just a group of friends having fun, as Kim revealed that Pharrell and Helen actually saved her life last night!

“Shout out to Pharrell & Helen who saved my life last night! LOL After the awards at dinner the feathers of my dress caught on fire from a candle & they jumped on me to get it out! #WereOn,” wrote Kim as a caption to the above image. Her sheer Proenza Schouler dress was not short on embellishment, other than the all-over grommets, there were also feathers at the shoulder seams. So what happened here? Perhaps at some moment deep in conversation with Kanye, maybe discussing his ideas on what she should wear to the next red carpet or a new clothing like, Kim, showing her enthusiasm, leaned too much into a candle and then — poof!  — up in flames.

Fashion can be dangerous sometimes, folks, do we need a Smokey the Bear runway advisory next?
