Keyshia Cole just started a fashion debate on Instagram. To cut tags, or not to cut tags?

Cole stopped by Jeremy Scott’s MTV VMAs after party on Sunday night clad in a totally sheer, runway-worthy ensemble. She stayed PG-13 with a white bra underneath the see-through long sleeve top. She shared some paparazzi photos from the event on Instagram, and judging by the way she’s pulling at her hem, the look seems to actually be two matching pieces that together create a bodysuit silhouette.

The outfit is daring enough, but her Instagram caption is what really has fans talking. “…everyone wants me to cut my tags. But I feel like if I do how will I remember that it’s Gucci, years down the line. What do [you] guys think” she asked fans.

Commenters immediately weighed in, mostly telling Cole that she should cut her tags. “Girl cut them. I’m sure you have plenty of Gucci and besides that it’s tacky,” wrote one fan. Another chimed in: “Dang, the tag on the top is awful…yes, please cut that! There’s no way to even tuck it with the entire outfit being see-thru.” One had a DIY solution for keeping tags: “Fold and pin or fold and sew with 2 small stitches. Still keep tags!”

Despite filing for divorce earlier this year, Cole has been sparkling all summer. Earlier this month, she stepped out in a sequin snakeskin bodycon dress, complete with cutouts.

She also glowed at the BET Experience Awards, in a Grecian-meets-clubwear pink glitter gown, furry high heels, and simple makeup.

With outfits this serious, we understand why Cole prefers to keep the tags on. To cut or not to cut? Sound off in the comments below.
