Kevin Bacon Pulls Out Cowboy Boots to Dance ‘Footloose’ Routine in Celebration

Kevin Bacon couldn't be happier, and his latest Instagram post is evidence of that.
The 65-year-old actor grabbed his cowboy boots and headed to the barn to recreate his iconic dance routine in Footloose following the pleasant news that the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike is officially over now that the studios and screen actors guild have reached a tentative deal.
The clip, which was uploaded to the picture-sharing platform on Thursday, Nov. 9, was simply captioned, "Strike over!"
His fans seemed more impressed by the video than they were by the news that stars and studios may resume work in the near future.
"Ok, this is the best thing I saw on the internet today! 😂😂," read one top-liked comment.
"This is EXACTLY what I didn’t know I needed today!" another added. "Such a classic! Never gets old!"
"Flashback to my childhood! 😍 You still got the moves Mr. Bacon," someone else gushed.
A fourth exclaimed, "An entire generation was just celebrating over this video! 😍."
Even the official Instagram account for Paramount Movies got in on it, sharing a gif of Bacon dancing in the 1984 hit film.
Hours prior, Bacon and his equally famous wife Kyra Sedgwick won over fans with a different video recreating another viral moment. This time, however, it wasn't from one of his films but the new Netflix docuseries, Beckham.
In it, the celeb couple are seen putting dishes away in their kitchen while listening to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers' 1983 duet "Islands in the Stream."
It didn't take too long for the two to begin dancing to the beat as they put their spin on a scene in the series starring David Beckham and his wife, Victoria Beckham–which has since spun out into a viral trend as social media users began sharing their take on the scene in which David joins Victoria dancing in the kitchen.
"Did we pass the Beckham test?" Bacon joked in the caption, to which David later replied: "Oh you passed with flying colours ❤️ @kevinbacon 🔥."
