KCAS Pets of the Week: Bane and West

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two lovable dogs.

Bane is a 2-year-old, 41-pound Bulldog mix. This social pup knows basic commands and is very food-motivated. The shelter said animal control found him as a stray, and he’s been at the shelter for a little while. He’s since been neutered, gotten up-to-date on vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.

West is a 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier that is doing well adjusting to living with a foster. The shelter said that the generally walks well on the leash, has had no accidents in the house, is friendly with house guests and knows basic commands. He’s also good in the car and likes to travel.

West is looking for a forever home where he can cuddle with his people and sunbathe the days away.

Through May 15, all dogs are $50 thanks to the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters event.
