Katy Perry Wears Shower Slides to the Daily Front Row's L.A. Fashion Awards
Sneakers are out and shower sandals are in? That's the message Katy Perry sent at last night's inaugural Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in Los Angeles. The popstar wore Adidas' classic Duramo slides, though hers came in bubblegum pink and white to match her all pink outfit (which was topped off with a pink fur, and pink lipstick!). She Tweeted, "Wore my slides to a FASHUN party tonight because @ITSJEREMYSCOTT.” The designer, who’s collaborated with Adidas since 2008, sat front row at the awards (which were co-hosted by our own Editor in Chief, Joe Zee) with Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, and Perry, who was there to support Scott, honored for Womenswear Designer of the Year.
Presenting Scott with his award, Cyrus stressed the importance of being nice—a quality the designer has in abundance, she said, which is a rare find in the fashion industry. “It’s f---ng about being nice to people, and it’s about loving each other. And if we can look f---ing cool when we do it that’s badass. But you know what, sometimes you look like sh-t, and you can still be nice.”
