The controversial Fox Nation commentator objected to Obama’s reference to the accomplishments of her own husband, former POTUS Barack Obama. Lahren took to Twitter Monday to voice her dissent, signing off with a dismissive “Sit down, Michelle.”

The insult aimed at the former first lady may have fetched some 39,000 likes, but it also sparked outrage from Obama supporters.

Lahren’s critics included comedian Kathy Griffin, who has made her views on the Trump administration plain. Griffin reacted to Lahren’s Obama insult by calling her a “dime store Barbie.”

And it wouldn’t be a Tomi Lahren drama without the rapper Wale wading in. Credited with starting the trend of people purposely botching Lahren’s first name, Wale couldn’t resist reacting to her tweet.

As for Mrs. Obama, we’ll assume she’s still toeing the “when they go low, we go high” party line.
