Just Launched: The Rivet Spring Issue

Rivet’s Spring issue is here and there have never been more ways to read it.

In addition to being available online here and in WWD’s Digital Daily today, the magazine will be distributed to attendees at Coachella and Stagecoach in Indio, Calif. beginning April 12. Find our street team handing out copies outside the venue gates or pick up a copy at local hotels.

The magazine will also be available at Kingpins Amsterdam April 24-25.

Driven by youth culture, celebrity and music, the connection between denim fashion and festivals has always been one of the most exciting and fun spaces to watch. The Spring issue dives deeper into festival fashion’s history of tastemakers in “Music Notes” pg. 40 and curates festival essentials in “Coachella or Bust” pg. 6. We also chat with Ron Poisson, co-founder of Cult of Individuality, to find out how he threads music across his denim and streetwear label (“Cult Phenom” pg. 46).

Festivals are a form of escapism. They’re opportunities to gather with fellow fans and geek out about niche interests and artists. Denim heads do this every time they’re in a room together. They even made a movie about it. We interviewed Viktor Fredbäck, denim collector and star of the new documentary “Denim Hunter,” about his quest for rare jeans in “Search Party” pg. 10.

This issue gives denim heads plenty of conversation starters to stir up new discussions. There’s a lot of newness to unpack from Western’s revival and its impact on authentic cowboy brands (“Western Way” pg. 23) to how quiet luxury is affecting the cost and demand for linen denim (“Noble Craft” pg. 60).

Other highlights in the issue include an Austin, Texas shopping guide, a look at The Mills Fabrica’s unique retail concept, and a special report on ways startups are innovating indigo.

We also check in with our cover star Olivia Ponton in “Dream Chaser” pg. 30. At just 21 years old, the SI swimsuit model with 7.7 million TikTok followers is charming high-end designers—and our staff—with her positive attitude and pure joy for fashion.
