If you need us to give you a reason to list the best beach bars in Palm Beach County, we are going to have to fall back on the gospel by the Zac Brown Band.

Of course, we could also credit similar sentiment on the merits of sand, water and beverages to Kenny Chesney, David Lee Roth, Sheryl Crow, and, of course, Jimmy Buffett, to name a few. They all agree, sometimes the simple things in life are the best.
If you are among the disciples and fancy nothing more than a good beach bar, this list is for you. To be fair, a few of our choices might stretch the definition of beach bar — some sit across the street from sand instead of on it. Regardless of the exact location, we know a beach bar vibe when we see it and here's where we know you'll find it in Palm Beach County.
Square Grouper Tiki Bar
If you close your eyes and imagine the most classic beachfront bar the Square Grouper might be what pops into your head. Ok, the restaurant fronts the Loxahatchee River, but you can see the inlet and the ocean, there's plenty of white sand with chairs, beautiful boats cruising by, palm trees swaying above you and lots of cold beverages just waiting. This spot recently made Southern Living's list of "The 18 Best Beach Bars in the South." But there's no bigger endorsement for qualifying as a beach bar than being featured in Alan Jackson's 2003 video for "Five O'Clock Somewhere," featuring Jimmy Buffett.

U-Tiki Beach
Like the Square Grouper this one is also situated along the Loxahatchee River, but again, there's water (which during the incoming tide can be Caribbean blue), there's sand, incredible views and plenty of cool drinks. On top of all that, the menu features plenty of tasty treats like the crispy tuna basil roll, hog fish tacos, grouper sandwiches, honey-mango mahi and much more.

The Sandbar
Located inside the Jupiter Beach Resort, this beachfront tiki bar is designed to help patrons relax and refuel with cool cocktails, casual fare and some pretty sweet views. There's even a fire pit for pre-dinner cocktails.

Top Shell
Located at the newly rebranded Singer Oceanfront Resort (now part of the Curio Collection by Hilton), this bar and restaurant has a beach view and takes its name from the sea turtles that frequent the waters off Singer Island and nest on its beaches. The Top Shell menu features beach-inspired dishes like the blue crab fritters with chipotle aioli and a seafood “charcuterie” board that includes smoked salmon, pickled shrimp and fish dip. Complete the bar-in-paradise vibe with one of their signature cocktails like the rum-pineapple-coconut-cream cocktail served in a whole coconut called the "Top of the Tree."

Benny's On The Beach
Serving locals and visitors for nearly four decades, this beach bar is not only located just on the beach, but, depending on where you sit, literally on the water. Situated on the Lake Worth Pier, and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this destination offers incredible views paired with fresh seafood, burgers, sandwiches and more. Benny's has a creative and very beachy cocktail menu as well with beverages including Max's Pineapple Colada, made with frozen Parrot Bay Coconut Rum piña colada, served in a fresh-cut pineapple with a Myer’s Dark Rum floater; Florida Lemonade, featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka, peach schnapps, strawberry purée & fresh-squeezed lemonade; and the Rubber Ducky Punch, made with Cruzan Light Aged Rum, blue curaçao, fresh-pressed pineapple, lime & a toy rubber ducky.

The Dune Deck Café is a casual breakfast, lunch and brunch restaurant that offers a fantastic view of the ocean. Sandbar Delray Beach
Yes, we know, this one is actually across the street from the beach, but it's so close and vibe is just right. Part of the Boston’s on the Beach family, this open-air spot offers a full beach-bar experience including a tiki hut on the sand, fruity rum drinks, fish dip and Bahamian conch fritters and then, for a double shot of fun, it can transform into a hip, nighttime spot as well. Sandbar Delray also made the Southern Living list for the Southeast - earning praise for pulling "double duty as a high-energy night club once the sun goes down."
