In a new interview, Julie Bowen shared how well her friend and former Modern Family co-star Sofía Vergara is doing amid her divorce from Joe Manganiello.
While chatting with People, the 63-year-old pointed out that Vergara's Instagram "says it all." She added, "We have spoken, and she's doing great. Sofia has always had such a wonderful family that surrounds her and wonderful friends."
Bowen also shared some of her longtime pal's best traits, noting, "Sofía has always been my role model as far as embracing being a woman and womanly, and yet also being powerful and not... I always felt like you had to compromise one for the other."
This past summer, the actress showed support towards her friend's newly single era in a comment under sultry vacation photos featuring the 51-year-old relaxing in a revealing blue leopard print swimsuit while vacationing in Ravello, Italy. "This is what single and 🔥 looks like!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," Bowen wrote under the Instagram post.
The aforementioned photos were uploaded on July 17, the same day that Vergara and Manganiello announced their split. At the time, the former couple shared, "We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives."
Since then, Manganiello has been spotted with actress Caitlin O'Connor, sparking rumors of a romance, while the Venezuelan actress has remained single, spending time with friends.
