Julia Roberts Shares Rare Loved-Up Selfie With Husband Danny Moder for His Birthday

Julia Roberts celebrated her longtime love, husband Danny Moder, on his 55th birthday, paying tribute with a sweet portrait.

The Notting Hill actress posted a beautiful selfie of the two of them on Instagram on Jan. 31, Moder's birthday, with the couple looking lovingly into each other's eyes as Roberts leaned back to rest her head on his arms.

"Happy Birthday to this amazing man who lights up our world. ✨⚡️✨⚡️ #131💞," she wrote alongside the image.

Roberts and Moder tend to be quite private about their lives and their children, twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, and younger son Henry. But the acclaimed actress sometimes marks big moments like birthdays and anniversaries by sharing sweet photos and messages about her loved ones, such as last November, when she posted a photo of her twins as babies for their 19th birthday.

She recently spoke a bit about family life on Today while promoting her newest project, the Netflix film Leave the World Behind, discussing how they all connect while she's away from home for the job and her twins are at college.

"We all were on FaceTime the other day together, all of us. And it was so fun. I might’ve had a towel on my wet head," Roberts said. "We were all so happy to be together in that way that we are still so deeply in love.”

As for her romantic relationship with her husband, whom she has been married to since 2002, the actress appears to be just as giddy in love as ever. In a 2023 interview with Gayle King, she pondered what it would be like when all of her kids are out of the house and it's just the two of them.

Roberts jokingly said, "Terrible," with a huge smile on her face, leading King to comment, "This is the thing about you and Danny, you can't even say his name without seeing 110 teeth...I so love this about the two of you."

"He's so smart and kind and dynamic in the way that he looks at the world and admires people," Roberts praised Moder, calling him, "my favorite human." The lovely couple will mark another impressive landmark soon, as it will be their 22nd wedding anniversary this July.
