Jones Center Summer in the City series returns to NWA

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Jones Center is kicking off their Summer in the City event series with Obstacle Runaround on June 15.

The Obstacle Runaround is a race where adults and kids team up to navigate obstacles together. Working in pairs, participants navigate over 10 obstacles, including a mud pit, tire run, noodle forest and more.

The race will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and will cost $35 per team. The deadline to register for the Obstacle Runaround is June 13.

Obstacle Runaround is the first in a series of themed, open-air events hosted on the Jones Center outdoor campus in June, July and Sept. The second event, Splash Bash on July 13, a free outdoor water-based party water balloons, a dunk tank, a capture-the-flag contest and a slip-n-slide.

The third event is Community Campout, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. to Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. Attendees will learn how to pitch tents at a community campsite located on the Jones Center campus. The Jones Center supplies all camping gear, dinner, outdoor activities, live music and more. The cost is $50 per campsite.

Jones Center members receive a 20% discount on all Summer in the City events.
