Jimmy Kimmel is a bit under the weather.

The late night host has tested positive for COVID, issuing a health update to fans about the cancellation of his upcoming live show due to the illness.

"Well, Las Vegas, I got COVID, and sadly, we need to cancel this weekend's Strike Force Three show," he announced in an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

"I could never live with myself if I got my hometown friends sick," Kimmel continued, as the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host lived in Las Vegas from age nine to 18, though he was born in Brooklyn, New York.

The live show, featuring Kimmel along with fellow comedian/late night hosts Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon, was the first occasion where the trio was slated to hit the stage together.

Although the Saturday, Sept. 23, one-night-only event will not happen as planned, the 55-year-old promised fans would get their money back. "Thanks to all who purchased tickets, everyone will get full refunds and we will try to reschedule if possible," the update noted.

The group, who make up three-fifths of the Strike Force Five podcast, had decided to take their show on the road, though the other two hosts of their production, Seth Meyers and John Oliver, were not listed as part of the program.

"I'm not allowed back in Vegas until I'm cleared of all charges," Oliver said of his exclusion, while Meyers joked, "I will be in Vegas, but unable to attend, as I gotta play my slots."

The podcast was formed as a result of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, with proceeds from the Spotify limited-series, as well as the (now-cancelled, but possibly rescheduled for the future) live event, going directly to out-of-work staff from the hosts' respective shows.
