On Friday, the Duchess of Cambridge and first lady Jill Biden connected to discuss, learn and share on a topic they both have a "great passion for" — early childhood development and education. And, according to Biden, they could have kept going for hours!

To start the day, the pair sat down for a chat "on the importance of early childhood on lifelong outcomes, and how we can work together to make a difference," according to the duchess's Instagram. They later visited a preschool in Cornwall together. Biden is in the U.K. with her husband, President Joe Biden, for the G-7 economic summit, their first trip abroad since taking office in January.

At the Connor Downs Academy preschool, the first lady and Kate talked with students about what they're reading and also fed some rabbits.

The pair both stood out in bright colors with the first lady in a white dress and hot pink blazer and the royal in a red belted dress from Alexander McQueen. They also accessorized with masks.

During a Q&A session, the Duchess of Cambridge said she "can't wait" to meet her new niece Lilibet and hopes it will be soon, her first public remarks about the birth of Harry and Meghan's second baby.

"I wish her all the very best, I can't wait to meet her," Kate said. "We haven’t met her yet, I hope that will be soon."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed baby Lilibet Diana on June 4, announcing her birth two days later, noting their little girl was named after the Queen and Princess Diana.
