Jessie James Decker Makes a Bold Prediction About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Romance

This whirlwind romance that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have going? Jessie James Decker thinks it has a fair shot of working long-term.

The country singer has relevant personal experience as the wife of former NFL wide receiver Eric Decker. In fact, she thinks the different career paths she and her partner were on when they began dating benefited their relationship.

For Swift and Kelce, Jessie told E! News she is “really happy for them” and thinks their relationship “could go all the way.”

As a musician-athlete team, “you’re not in the same field of work,” the “Boys in the Summer” singer said. While both individuals are at the top of their respective professions and are both “in the public eye,” they aren’t directly competing against each other since there are also very real differences in the work that they do, Jessie explained.

In that context, “you understand where the other person is coming from and you have grace for what the other person's doing.”

Jessie said she understands “why it works” for Swift and Kelce based on what she’s experienced in her 13-year relationship with Eric. The Deckers married in 2013 and have three children, with a fourth baby on the way.

The Swift-Kelce relationship has generated extensive discussion among fans since the “Lover” songstress began attending Kansas City Chiefs games last fall to support Kelce, the team’s tight end. Her presence at NFL games throughout this season has led some to question whether she was participating in a secret promotional stunt with the NFL, though Chiefs owner and CEO Clark Hunt has thrown cold water on that conspiracy theory by insisting that Kelce’s relationship with Swift is “very real.”

Despite facing what many would consider to be an overwhelming amount of attention, Kelce couldn’t help but smile during a press conference earlier this week when asked how he and Swift handle the pressure. So long as they’re both happy, Kelce said, “we can’t listen to anything that’s outside noise.”
