Jennifer Coolidge Joins Cast of the New Minecraft Movie

Jennifer Coolidge scooped up her second Primetime Emmy on Monday night and is now jetting off to New Zealand to join the cast of the new Minecraft movie.

Deadline reports that The White Lotus star is set to join Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen in the Jared Hess-directed film.

The story is to be adapted from the best-selling video game of all time from Mojang Studios.

With 300 million copies sold and close to 140 million monthly active players, Warner Bros, Vertigo and Legendary have copped some hot IP at a time when video game adaptations are booming at the box office.

Jack Black is expected to play Steve, Danielle Brooks will play Dawn, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen will be Henry, as per IMDb. Who Coolidge will play is yet to be announced.

The film is expected to hit theaters in 2025.
