Five Nights at Freddy's took the box office by storm last year when it had one of the highest opening weekends for a video game adaptation and horror film of all time.

Since then, the director has teased a sequel, saying, "We have some loose ends that I think are going to have to come back in a sequel to be tied up".

That sequel no longer seems like a rumor, as Josh Hutcherson told Variety, "I know they're in the process right now of nailing down the story, and they want to get going as soon as possible".

He also said, "We hoped it would connect with audiences", but was surprised by the support it received, revealing, "I don't think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to really connect the way that it did. I'm dying to get back on set. Emma Tammi, our director, was fantastic, and it was such a fun world to play in. I'm excited to see what they are doing next."

What's in the future for Mike, the troubled security guard of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, who realizes on his first night shift that creepy things happen when the lights go down?

Guess we'll find out soon.
