Giana restaurant — 3 Roosevelt Circle, South Easton

Have you ever tasted Japanese wagyu? Well, Giana has specials this week that are enticing my tastebuds.

Now, what’s the buzz on wagyu?

Well, it’s cow meat famous for its marbling and delicious taste. What makes Wagyu so special is how the farmers take care of the cows during their life on Earth in Japan. The cows are considered “happy,” and that’s what makes the meat so extraordinary and well-tasting.

Giana is serving a wagyu sirloin with yuzu scallions, mashed potatoes, sesame truffle corn crema and ponzu sauce for $59.

Nothing is like a fresh-off-the-grill steak smothered in garlic potatoes on the side, and Barrels and Boards has a weekly special menu that’s heating up the area.

This week, the restaurant is serving starters that will get the party going, from steak and cheese egg rolls to lobster wontons, bone-in short rib, 16-ounce boneless ribeye and a strawberry spinach salad.

And the best part would have to be their bourbon pecan pie.

The cocktail menu is upgraded with four new featured drinks: a Sip of Sunshine IPA, Meiomi pinot noir, a spring flavored mule and an espresso martini.

Kids eat free every Wednesday at Mamma Mia’s! It’s almost like a buy-one-get-one-free deal. This isn’t the only deal, either. Two people can eat dinner for $45, so order the wine and dive into the salad because it’s all included in the deal.

The restaurant is known for its Italian cuisine, from fried chicken parmesan to pan-seared salmon with fire-roasted vegetables.
