Jana Kramer gives her children a 'Yes Day' filled with donuts, toys and Chuck E. Cheese

It looks like Jana Kramer’s kids had the best day ever. The country singer threw her children a "Yes Day" and did everything her kids Jolie, 7, and Jace, 4, wanted to do for a day.

As Kramer told fans from her Instagram account, the day was inspired by the 2021 Jennifer Garner and Edgar Ramirez Netflix film Yes Day. In the family-friendly movie, strict parents decide to loosen up for one day and say yes to all their kids’ requests, within reason.

Kramer chronicled some of the Yes Day fun for her Instagram Story and later explained that day she’d had with her children.

In her story, Jolie and Jace can be seen munching on sprinkled donuts. “How Yes Day is going…” the 39-year-old wrote. “Donuts for lunch.”

“A lot of questions about Yes Day,” the “I Got the Boy” singer began. “Did you have the best day ever?” she asked her daughter Jolie, who giggled and nodded.

“Jolie girl has been asking for a Yes Day for a while. So she wrote a list. It’s things we can do. You basically say yes all day long. Minus things like, buy a horse – obviously there’s limits. Has to still be safe. You should just watch the movie and it will give you the best description of it,” she explained. “Basically whatever they want to do. So we’ve been everywhere today, from Chuck E. Cheese to the ball place to buying a toy, to donuts and now they want to watch iPads and I said yes!”

While a Yes Day might not be right for all families, Kramer is not the type to mom-shame anyone for their parenting style. In 2022, she told Yahoo Life, “[There are] other women tearing down other women, other moms tearing down other moms, saying things like, ‘I can’t believe you would wear that to your kid's soccer game,’ or this or that. I would never tear down another mom — it’s so sad when I look at these comments … it makes me really sad because I'm like, ‘Can't we lift other moms up?’”

One thing Kramer is unapologetic about? How she parents. The One Tree Hill alum, who shares custody of her children with her ex-husband and former Whine Down podcast partner Mike Caussin, explained how she doesn't let online shamers bother her.

“Even from the get-go, when I would have mommy shamers on me about buying them canned foods, I was like, ‘I’m not going to apologize. I’m a great mom. I’m a good singer, I’m a good actress, but I’m a great mom,’” she noted. “Sure, there are days when I fall a little short, but at the end of the day, I showed up, and I’m going to continue to show up. I’m going to apologize to my kids if I fall flat, but to the people behind their computers, I’m never going to apologize. At the end of the day, I’m a great mom.”
