IKEA Releases New Pet Collection and It's Even Better Than It Sounds
It can be hard finding super aesthetically pleasing pet products, especially if you don't want your home to scream I'm a crazy cat (or dog) mom (or dad)! Our favorite store to stock up on everything from storage solutions to reasonable wine glasses is now offering a collection of 29 pet items, designed around four different activities that our pets love to do: eat, sleep, play and hide.
The next time you're at the big blue and yellow store stocking up on frozen meatballs and Billy bookcases, you may want to check out the new IKEA UTSÅDD collection designed for pets.
The IKEA press release says, in part, " With UTSÅDD, IKEA seeks to simplify and brighten up life at home with pets by bringing joyful products that are easy to clean, resistant to everyday use and seamlessly blend into any home. UTSÅDD will be available in selected markets beginning April 2024."

The press release also has a quote from Julia Rosenberg, Product Design Developer at IKEA of Sweden AB, who says, "At IKEA, we believe that pets are family. Our goal was to develop a collection of products that our cats and dogs love and that their human parents can feel good about and truly enjoy having as part of their home."

IKEA isn't the first to think of pets when it comes to their products, because a lot of pet parents have been hacking IKEA products to turn into pet items for years. It's fantastic news that IKEA has caught on that our fur babies have needs too.
