Horse Joyfully Chowing Down on Watermelon Will Put a Smile on Anyone's Face

Sometimes, nothing hits the spot like a good snack. Whether you're craving something specific or just spotted something in the grocery store that looked irresistible, the best snacks are oftentimes the ones you didn't know you needed.

Just ask Elliot! This gorgeous brown horse is well-known on TikTok for sampling lots of different snacks--including human food like donuts and Bomb Pops--but this watermelon snack has to be one of our favorites that he's tried. You'll see why!

What a hungry horse! Elliot has excellent manners when munching on a snack from his mom, @emilycaron0's hands, and he even took a break to smile at her after that delicious first bite. Clearly, this horse loves the taste! But he also loves Emily, and he appreciates the horse-friendly snack!

It's no surprise that this happy horse's viewers are charmed by his messy eating and loud juice slurping. He seems about as pleased as can be, and the look of contentment on his face at the end of the video is everything. If you ask us, it looks like he's smiling as the fruit juice runs off his chin! Now this is horse happiness at its finest.

"Normally, I can't stand when humans make these noises while eating watermelon," admitted commenter @sandraadams.5, "but I could listen to & watch this horse do it ALL DAY (go figure...)." LMAO! We can absolutely relate. Hearing people slurping can be a major ick, but when a horse is snacking--it's adorable.

Although a horse's diet shouldn't consist mainly of watermelon, it's a fantastic treat for horses. Just think of it like dessert! After all, this fruit is mostly water, and it doesn't provide all of the nutrients an animal needs to thrive. You can also feed your horse small amounts of watermelon rind, though they may take after Elliot and prefer the fruit itself!
