After the news of actor Billy Miller's death, his TV colleagues and friends remembered him and his kindness, sharing personal memories and sweet messages.

The actor, who died at the age of 43 on Friday, Sept. 15–just two days shy of his 44th birthday–had a prominent acting career and became a well-known face in TV soaps, earning three Daytime Emmys for his performance as Billy Abbott in The Young and the Restless.

Nancy Lee Grahn, who acted alongside Miller on General Hospital, wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) after learning of his death, "So very sorry to hear this very sad and unexpected news. I would like very much for my beloved General Hospital to have no more of it. #RIPBillyMiller."

Stephen Nichols, who starred in The Young and the Restless with Miller, said, "I had a lot of love and respect for Billy Miller. We had some good times on #Y&R. His untimely death is a great loss. Love to his family and all who loved him."

Another The Young and the Restless star, Eileen Davidson, wrote about Miller's great personality, "I’m so sad to hear of Billy Miller’s passing. His infectious charm and warmth left lasting impressions on all of us who were lucky enough to have him in our lives. I’m gonna miss that mischievous smile. Love you Billy."

Miller left The Young and the Restless in 2014, and three years later, Jason Thompson took over his role. Thompson, who seemed to develop a friendship with the late actor over the years, responded to the sad news, "I’m so sorry and saddened to hear about my friend, Billy Miller. Heartbreaking. He was funny, had a great laugh and very talented. Light and love to his family and friends."

"Billy, My fellow Texas brother. You lit up every room with your smile. Your quiet intensity onscreen was second only to your gentle kindness and genuine care in private," wrote Michael Muhney, who also starred in The Young and the Restless.

Muhney added, referencing Miller's birthday on Sept. 17, "You were bigger and braver and bolder than this life. You were legend. There is no landing to this final cliffhanger, the wings you’ve spent your lifetime earning have carried you up to that wonderful place in the sky. Happy Birthday Billy Miller."

Kathleen Gati, another actress who starred with Miller on General Hospital, noted his generosity: "#BillyMiller was always kind, gracious, professional, courteous, friendly, generous. Adored by his fans and colleagues. As I recall, he installed and paid for a fully equipped gym in a space at the studio so everyone could use it. I can’t say enough nice things about him.💔."

Many more shared similar kind words and condolences, as fans from all over mourned the loss as well. The soap opera community has seen many losses as of late, with both Jeffrey Carlson and Andrea Evans passing in July and Arleen Sorkin passing in August.
