'Historic Osh Hop' will offer tours of 8 historic sites in Oshkosh and a reception at The Howard

OSHKOSH — Oshkosh Public Museum is celebrating its centennial year by shining the spotlight on other historic properties.

In recognition of Historic Preservation Month, OPM will invite guests to visit eight local sites across Oshkosh for a special event May 11 called the "Historic Osh Hop." Locations include The Doe House, The Corbett House, Historic Sawyer Home at the Oshkosh Public Museum and more.

The full Hop stop lineup and additional information will be sent to ticket-holders. Ticket includes access to each Hop stop, OPM general admission on May 11 and a reception to follow at The Howard. The visit with participating properties runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the reception runs 3-5 p.m.

This event is recommended for ages 12 and older. Tickets are non-refundable and benefit the Oshkosh Public Museum.

According to a news release, the Historic Osh Hop is set to highlight a variety of locations that “represent a wide spectrum of architectural styles, time periods, and historical preservation.”

“We are excited to bring this new event to Oshkosh,” said OPM Marketing and Advancement Coordinator Kate Stel.

“Our community is fortunate to have many and varied examples of historic architecture, and we’re thrilled that property owners and caretakers are welcoming the public to experience them,” she added.
