How can you help cats at the Valley Animal Center in Fresno?

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Valley Animal Center is asking for the public’s help due to an issue that is impacting the well-being of the cats.

Officials with the Valley Animal Center say they are facing a critical wet cat food shortage at their adoption center.

Without an adequate supply, officials with the adoption center say they are unable to provide their fosters with the nutrition they need, which may lead to digestive issues for the kittens. Wet food is crucial for cats with medical conditions and older cats who struggle with hard food.

The Valley Animal Center officials are requesting donations of pate-style wet cat food to help meet the dietary needs of the felines.

They say those interested in helping can visit their online wishlist and send the food directly to them, or they can drop off donations at their main lobby located at 3934 N. Hayston Ave.
