There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

To celebrate Cartier's 25th anniversary back in 2005 in Beverly Hills, Kristin Davis surprisingly wore very little jewelry — and very little in general.

Fresh off the series finale of "Sex and The City," Davis attended the party in an all-black, semi-see-through look that her famously prim character Charlotte York would no doubt have plenty to say about. The focal point of the outfit was an intricately lacy blouse with sheer sleeves and bikini-like coverage, tied at the center by three ribbons. Her two-layer skirt was a tad more conservative but equally dreamy, hitting at her waist and flowing below her knees.

Jewelry-wise, Davis chose show-stopping, diamond-covered drop earrings with twists and curves that caught light at every angle. A pair of simple black open-toe stilettos matched her risqué lingerie-inspired look.

Below, we've curated monochromatic lingerie-adjacent pieces that can be worn just as subtly (or boldly) as Davis.
