I can’t wait for summer. I have a lot to look forward to, mainly my wedding in Italy and all the love and celebrations that’ll follow (I’m grinning so big just thinking about it!!). And while these occasions obviously take precedent, I’d be remiss not to say I’m also incredibly excited about all the looks — aka, wedding outfits (more on that soon, stay tuned, wink, wink), but also summer-y ensembles that are ideal for beachside excursions and Italian countryside getaways alike.

While I’m back to re-learning how to dress for warmer weather — and I know I’m not alone when I say “re-learn,” because after months bundled up, it’s weird to be able to, well, show skin again! So, when I need a bit of inspo, I always turn to my nearest, earnest, and most trusted fashionable celebs for some ideas. Thankfully, Gisele Bündchen just served up a simple summer look on a silver platter, and this is the exact outfit I’ll be living in for the next six months. Sorry, not sorry.

The supermodel was photographed out and about in Miami in the most low-key ensemble that includes all the makings of an ideal summer ‘fit. This means you should absolutely scoop up every facet of her outfit, but especially those pants. Bündchen wore a pair of stone-colored linen pants that had a comfy drawstring waist, billowy leg, and, of course, coveted pockets — because pants without pockets just won’t do these days. She styled the airy bottoms with a fitted white tank top, light-brown flip-flops, and a baseball cap.

Linen pants are my go-tos, but as much as I would love to wear them come winter, they’re not the most feasible option when the temperature drops — and that’s exactly what makes them such essential spring and summer pants; the lightweight design is basically like a wearable A/C, allowing wind in, in turn, keeping you cool and sweat-free, even when it’s hot and humid outside. Both NYC and Italy can get incredibly humid in June and July, so linen bottoms were all I wore last year. I plan on doing the same this year, too.

Not to mention, the bottoms are relatively lightweight, taking up very little room in a suitcase or bag, making them ideal travel pants, too. And, they’re easy to dress up or down; wear them to the beach by pairing the pants with a one-piece swimsuit and a straw hat, or go dressy for a night out in a fitted bodysuit and espadrille heels.

However, wherever, or whenever you wear them, trust me when I say linen pants will never let you down. Shop some must-have styles below.
