Gee Atherton Teases Monstrous Canyon Gap at Red Bull Hardline

We are a little over a week away from Red Bull Hardline Wales. Though the event has not released a full course preview, Gee Atherton teased a mind-blowing new feature on his instagram.

See the monstrous canyon gap below.

Hardline is a unique downhill race series created by Dan and Gee Atherton that features enormous jumps and steep tech. Hardline started in 2014 in Wales and expanded to Tasmania this year.

As if the on-off into two 100-foot gaps from years past were not enough, the Athertons decided to up the game and add a canyon gap complete with a treacherous rocky entrance. Hopefully, they install a net on race day!

The consequences of this jump are high, but the size is nothing new to Hardline or the professionals who will ride it. See Gee Atherton ride the 2023 course below.

Hardline which will be held on June 2nd, will feature some of the best racers and freeriders. Ronan Dunne and Gracey Hemstreet are the defending winners from Hardline Tasmania, but three-time Bernard Kerr will want redemption after his fall at Hardline Wales in 2022 and second place finish in Tasmania.

Josh Bryceland will be making a return to racing after a nearly decade-long hiatus.

Though Hardline attracts some fast World Cup Racers, it would not be surprising to see some bow out of the competition after Jackson Goldstone's crash at Hardline Tasmania sidelined him for the 2024 World Cup season.

Stay tuned for more coverage of Red Bull Hardline throughout the week.

Update:

On Sunday, Bernard Kerr rode the gap for the first time. Watch Bernard's first hit below.
