Furry Friends Friday: Melanie

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Rescue Alliance visits BRProud with a year-old cat up for adoption this week on Furry Friends Friday.

Jonathan Henriques, director of operations, and his daughter Akyra brought Melanie, a beautiful little cat. Melanie has been at Rescue Alliance for about a week. She’s super sweet and playful and would be a great addition to any loving family. Her adoption fee is $75.

Rescue Alliance has many cats looking for new homes, with more added recently due to another local shelter in Ascension Parish having to go into a two-week quarantine.

With cats being surrendered or found as strays, donations are always welcomed. People can send monetary donations or donate cat litter, cat food, blankets, toys or other pet supplies.

If you’re interested in adopting Melanie or any other available cats, visit the PetSmart in Gonzales and Baton Rouge or animalrecovery.org/adopt.
