Furry Friends Friday: Cheddar and Havarti are 2 puppies looking for new home, family

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — If you’re considering adopting a new puppy, meet Cheddar and Havarti at Companion Animal Alliance.

Cheddar is a girl and Havarti is a boy. These two-month-old siblings were part of a litter of 11. Their adoption fee is $200 each.

If you’re looking for a different breed of dog, an older animal or a cat, Companion Animal Alliance has plenty of options available. Many pets are looking for a nice family to love them and take care of them.

You can also try fostering if you can’t adopt or are unsure if you want to take on a full commitment as a pet owner. Fostering allows you to house an animal or multiple animals and get a feel for taking care of them, feeding them and, of course, loving them.

Or consider donating to CAA. You can help out by giving money, food, toys or other pet supplies.

CAA has a big fundraiser event on Saturday, April 13. The annual Furball will be on Saturday evening at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Single tickets are $200. Tickets for couples are $350. Attendees will get to see the court members and enjoy a live auction, food and other activities.

If you want to go to the Furball, tickets can be purchased at furballbr.org. If you want Cheddar, Havarti or both to be your new furry family members, visit caabr.org.
