Free photography festival Photoville returns to NYC
NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Photoville, a free photography festival, is set to return to New York City with over 85 free exhibitions this summer.
The open-air exhibit will host its opening weekend at Brooklyn Bridge Park on June 1 and June 2 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Photoville Village will feature the festival’s iconic shipping containers, banners, and PhotoCube exhibitions.
The festival promises attendees interactive workshops, artist tours and a Smorgasburg pop-up. Photographers and photo enthusiasts can expect development opportunities in partnership with Diversify Photo and Leica Camera.
Photoville’s exhibitions will also be displayed at other city parks in Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx.
“This festival isn’t just a showcase of images… it’s a meeting ground for connectivity, bridging communities and cultures through this platform of photography. With every photo, there’s a story and every story opens doors of connection, empathy, and understanding,” said Laura Roumanos, the co-founder of Photoville.
