The Fond du Lac community takes pride in its parks and outdoor amenities, with about 20 parks to choose from throughout the city.

In the last few years, many of the parks have seen upgrades, including improvements to Lighthouse Drive in Lakeside Park, a boardwalk in Lakeside Park West, a music garden in Hamilton Park, and an accessible playground and baseball field at Plamore Park.

Planned or ongoing work includes McDermott Park landscaping, a new playground at Russell Park and a pedestrian bridge between Lakeside Park and Lakeside Park West, the last of which is almost set to open this month, according to the City of Fond du Lac Facebook page.
