Five things for you to do with your family this weekend: April 26-28

Apr. 25—Looking for something to do with your family this weekend? Check out these activities around the Valley:

1. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Pennsylvania is hosting Family Fun Fridays at the Selinsgrove REC, 429 8th St., from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitors can watch "The Sandlot" for free and snacks and beverages will be provided. 2. Middlecreek Community Fellowship, 70 Paxton St., Middleburg, is holding its first "Spring Has Sprung" Children's Fair from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday. There will be games and fun activities for children to take part in and each station will have a treat for anybody who participates. 3. Add a little magic to your weekend by going to the Campus Theatre, 413 Market St., Lewisburg, for its Harry Potter House Cup Series. The theater will be showing "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" at 7 p.m., Friday, as it challenges audiences to donate spare change or any other currency to their Hogwarts house. When the series ends, the theater will get decorated in honor of whichever house received the most donations. Tickets are $5 per person and more information is available at campustheatre.org.

4. The Commonwealth University — Bloomsburg's College of Education and Human Development is hosting a Community Play Day at the Student Rec Center, Swisher Drive, Bloomsburg, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be plenty of screen-free activities for children in Pre-K through fourth grades, with refreshments available. Parents must be present for kids to play. There will also be a Pop-Up Playground for kids to engage in open-ended, hands-on and self-directed play. Admission is free. 5. The Elysburg Alliance Church, 113 Alpha Ave., is holding a Kids Carnival from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. There will be food, games, a bounce house, raffle prizes and more for children through sixth grade to enjoy. Pelican's Snowballs will also have a food truck at the carnival for anybody wishing to purchase a sweet treat. Admission is free.
