Fireride Mountain Bike Festival Comes To Costa Rica
Over the weekend, freeriders from around the world traveled to San José, Costa Rica for the Fireride Mountain bike festival.
One of these riders was Tom Cardy. Watch the British YouTube star’s highlights of the event below.
In this video, riders sessioned the jump line and competed in long and high jumps. Even in the stifling 90-degree heat, the riders had a blast competing. Perhaps the wildest moment was when Jerrell Webster knocked the bar off of the high jump doing a backflip.
The Fireride Festival, not to be confused with the similarly named music festival, is a Latin American Freeride Festival. It is fully a party with food, DJs, and even a jumpside pool. 2024 was the first time Fireride went to Costa Rica, having previously been held in Mexico.
The riding scene in Latin America is growing, and it is great to see different countries show off their unique riding and culture.
