Fans Swoon Over Simone Biles’ Husband Loving Tribute to His ‘Rock’

It’s hard to say which couple had the most adorable Valentine’s Day social media posts, but Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are certainly in the running.

Owens, who proposed to the Olympic gymnast on Valentine’s Day in 2022, shared two photos on Instagram that were taken as he popped the question. The two married in April 2023.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to my best friend,” Owens, 28, wrote. The Green Bay Packers safety’s Instagram caption continued by saying he couldn’t believe two years have already passed since they got engaged, adding, “man does time fly.”

“You’re my rock, i feel like i can accomplish anything as long as i have you by my side,” he wrote. "So excited to see where life takes us, I love you so much baby.”

Biles, 26, commented on his post to say that she loves him “more than ever” and that agreeing to marry him was the “best decision ever!”

Biles also posted a picture of herself with Owens on her own Instagram account, writing that “every day feels like valentines day with you.” Owens commented on her post as she had on his, writing, “I love you so much baby.”

Tens of thousands of people liked each athlete’s post, with more than 250 Instagram users leaving comments on Owens’ pictures the first day after he shared them. Some of Owens’ followers referred to him as “Mr. Simone Biles” and “Mr. GOAT,” a reference to how Biles is considered by many to be the “greatest of all time” in her sport as a seven-time Olympic medalist and the world’s most decorated World Championships gymnast.

Others left hearts and shared that they were “so happy” for Biles and Owens as they wished the couple a happy holiday.

“This is too cute,” a fan wrote.

“Beautiful tribute to your Queen,” one Instagram user commented.

“I wish you a lifetime of love and great memories together!” another fan said.

Biles and Owens first met in 2020 and dated for about two years before their engagement. They're set to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in April.
