Fans Dub Kelly Clarkson a 'National Treasure' With Debut of New Song 'Roses'

Kelly Clarkson wowed fans with her new song "Roses."
The track, released on Sept. 7, continues the theme of heartache from her other latest releases, shedding more light into her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.
The powerhouse sings about losing faith in her relationship, belting out in the chorus: "It's too late for roses, they'll die in a day. You can't put a band-aid on the way that we're breaking. It's too late for diamonds, they all come with chains. So don't waste your money on it, we can't be saved."
"Roses" will be featured in the upcoming deluxe version of Chemistry, out on Sept. 22.
Fans shared their love for the stunning single on Instagram under Clarkson's teaser.
"This is so beautiful…diamonds come with chains…I felt that to my core ❤️❤️❤️," read a comment. Another fan gushed, "Oh Kelly, you're a NATIONAL TREASURE." Someone else wrote, "Amazing song like always!!!!!"
A different fan put it best when they wrote, "Wow 🥳i love it."
In addition to "Roses," the deluxe version of Chemistry also includes another Rose—Clarkson's daughter River Rose, that is. When the album news dropped with a track list, fans noticed that song "don't make me cry" features the 9-year-old.
It's been a busy year for the 41-year-old. Besides the release of Chemistry, which was her first proper studio album since 2017, she also recently wrapped up her Las Vegas residency. The American Idol alum is currently gearing up for her big move to New York City, where she will relocate The Kelly Clarkson Show.
A national treasure, indeed.
