Selena Gomez confirmed that she's releasing new music this summer, and as expected, fans can't contain their excitement.

The 31-year-old announced that later this month, she would be releasing a new song that's "perfect for the end of summer."

"Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer," Gomez wrote in a statement shared across all her social media pages. "SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now."

Mere minutes after The Only Murders in the Building actress teased the news, her fans went wild, sharing their joy for the new music and the community they've found within the online spectacle of Selenators.

"Mother is back," one Instagram user cheered before another echoed their sentiment, writing, "MOTHER IS TRULY BACK."

"THE WAY I SCREAMED," a third gasped.

"i am apologizing ahead of time for the person i’m going to be on august 25th," another viral post joked.

Fans were also entertaining a fair share of conspiracy theories pertaining to the post and subtle "messages" they found in the photos that they believe hint at a collaboration with her dear pal and fellow pop star Taylor Swift.

"she’s in the lavender haze jacket which means taylor x selena soon," one suggested. "I don’t make the rules."

Another social media user questioned the potential Gomez x Swift collab on Instagram, writing, "OH MYY GOOOOOODDDD!!!!Wait ....... IS SHE GONNA BE IN 1989tv!??!?!!!!"

"POLAROIDS??? are you on Bad Blood as a feature instead of a background dancer????" a third asked.

Looks like fans will just have to wait until next week when Gomez's latest musical project is made available wherever listeners get their tunes. "Single Soon" will be her 29th single as a lead artist, following the release of "My Mind & Me" which she wrote for her documentary of the same name. Gomez's most recent studio album, Rare, turns four years old in January 2024.
