Note: when a trailer opens with two lovers in a shower drinking champagne and telling each other how in love they are, it’s probably not going to end well.

Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor stars alongside Oppenheimer‘s Alden Ehrenreich in Fair Play, and Netflix has just dropped its latest trailer.

There’s romance, shouting, and fiery relationship dynamics, all set within a financial firm - like Margin Call meets Pride and Prejudice.

There’s a lot of buzz for Fair Play. It was one of the breakout hits of the Sundance film festival in January, and it’s got many excited for the upcoming release.

As per the synopsis: “When a coveted promotion at a cutthroat financial firm arises, once-supportive exchanges between lovers Emily (Dynevor) and Luke (Ehrenreich) begin to sour into something more sinister. As the power dynamics irrevocably shift in their relationship, the couple must face the true price of success and the unnerving limits of ambition. The pic unravels the uncomfortable collision of empowerment and ego.”

Written and directed by first-time filmmaker Chloe Domont, and also starring Eddie Marsan, Fair Play releases 29 September in select theaters and 6 October on Netflix.

This of course is our second look at the film. Check out the first look and trailer released for Fair Play here.
