Expert provides tips on how to stay healthy for pickleball players

(WHTM)– As the weather gets nicer more people are picking up their rackets to play pickleball.

But doctors want you to make sure you’re being safe. While it is a healthy way to keep active, it can pose threats for injury and over heating so experts have some important reminders.

“It’s ramped up really in the last couple of years and just become a popular sport,” athletic trainer for WellSpan Sports Medicine Dee Chambers said. “It’s it’s easy for all ages to play some important things, especially over the summertime. Now is making sure you’re staying hydrated. You have a heat going on now. So water is important.”
