An expanded LuLu's Gifts & More reopens in Colony Square Mall with 22 local vendors

ZANESVILLE − LuLu’s Gifts & More at Colony Square Mall, 3575 Maple Ave., re-opened April 3 to the tune of 22 local vendors including Ford’s Flower Shop, Carol Bryant and Kelly Joseph with her T-shirts of local schools.

“It’s four times the space of our previous location,” said Steven Simmons, who co-owns the shop with his husband, Clay Simmons. “There are 22 vendors now and we have enough room to add four more. I’m hoping to expand into the back room next year.”

Steven said by 2025 they could have up to 35 local vendors in the space, which is across from T.J. Maxx and next to Finish Line.

“We’re also looking at expanding with a shop in Cincinnati,” he added.

Steven said they’re in the process of planning a formal grand opening soon to share the joy.

“We’re really excited about this store,” said Steven. “My husband and I, we just want to give back to local people. Customers can come in here and get all kinds of things in one trip, and local vendors can have a place where they can sell their items.”

Items include everything from furniture and art to hair bows and T-shirts.

The shop may have multiple vendors, but it has one point of sale inside the store. Vendors are then paid once a month based on their sales.

“We started it small to see how it would work,” said Steven. “It did so well, we were able to expand and hope to continue that trend. That’s our plan.”

The shop is open during regular mall hours Wednesday through Sunday. It’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.For more information visit colonysquaremall.com.
