FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH - Destined for Rebirth - YouTube - 0-0-51

The sequel to the smash hit Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is finally almost here, with the game set to be released in just a few weeks at the time of writing. It’s set to be a massive game, with heaps of new content, open world segments, and likely a few twists and turns to throw you off the scent.

Ahead of the game’s launch, we scoured the internet for the answers to every question you might have about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, including its release date, demo details, what editions are available, and more.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Release Date

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be released on the PS5 on February 29, 2024.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo Release Date

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, like Remake before it, has a demo on PS5 that will give you a little taste of the game before it’s released. This is helpful if you’re on the fence and not sure about buying, or if you just can’t wait until February 29 to get stuck in.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s demo is available now.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Editions

There are two major digital editions of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth available on PlayStation 5, the standard edition and the digital deluxe edition. As you’d expect, the standard edition just comes with the game, without any extras.

The digital deluxe edition includes the game, of course, as well as a digital artbook, a digital mini soundtrack, an accessory, a piece of armor, and a summoning materia for Magic Pot. There’s also a twin pack of both editions that also includes Remake Intergrade for PS5 and actually costs exactly the same as buying it solo.

Will Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Be On PC?

So far, only a PS5 release has been confirmed for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but if Remake is anything to go by, it won’t stay exclusive to PS5 forever. Remake was ported to PS5 about a year after its PS4 release, and then to PC almost exactly six months after that. We’d expect a similar trajectory for Rebirth, with it launching on PS5 first and coming to PC 6-12 months later.

Will Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Be On Xbox?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will ever be on Xbox. Almost four years after its release, Remake still hasn’t been released or even announced for Xbox, and Square Enix has pretty much always said that Remake and Rebirth will be PS5 exclusive, at least in the console space. That could change in the future, but for now it seems Xbox players are going to miss out.
