Celebrity Jeopardy! has been a Jeopardy! staple for decades. The game show invites celebrities to raise money for charity by answering questions covering anything from science to geography, all while entertaining audiences across the country. The spin-off breaks up the week of regular Jeopardy! with new episodes airing every Wednesday through the rest of the fall right before Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.

This season, stars like Christopher Meloni, Lisa Ann Walter, and Mark Duplass have taken the stage and gone head-to-head to win money for the causes of their choice. So far, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Lisa Ann Walter, and Katie Nolan have come out on top and are moving on to the semifinals. But the quarterfinals aren't even halfway over yet, and the upcoming matches this month should make for some exciting—and educational—TV.

October 18: Steven Weber, Shane Battier, Melissa Fumero

The Oct. 18 quarterfinal this week will feature two actors and a sports industry heavyweight. Over the years, Steven Weber has starred in TV series like Wings and NCIS: New Orleans and made appearances in shows ranging from Will & Grace to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He's also portrayed a few Stephen King characters in his time on The Shining and Desperation TV series.

Shane Battier was in the NBA for over a decade, playing for the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets before joining the Miami Heat and winning back-to-back championships with the team. After retiring in 2014, Battier turned his focus to behind-the-scenes work with the Heat, acting as the team's director of basketball development and analytics until 2021. Since then, he's served on the board of software company Yext and been working alongside former NBA players Baron Davis and Metta Sandiford-Artest to launch the East Asia Super League.

Melissa Fumero has been a working actor for nearly two decades, first coming into Americans' living rooms on the iconic soap opera One Life to Live. She went on to star in the hit comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine and has polished off her résumé in recent years with appearances in shows like M.O.D.O.K., Blockbuster, and Velma.
