Endless Mountains Maple Festival is back

TROY Pa. (WETM) — The Endless Mountains Maple Festival has returned to Troy for its 43rd year.

The Maple Festival is being held at Alparon Community Park from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28, this year. Visitors can go on rides, watch a monster truck show, watch a demolition derby, listen to live music, view antique tractors, and more. There will also be food vendors, craft vendors, flea markets, and, of course, plenty of maple products.

The Maple Festival started in 1981 to promote maple syrup products that were produced in the area. Festivalgoers can try some of the region’s maple syrup by having a pancake breakfast at any time during the festival or purchasing products from local maple syrup producers. There will be plenty of non-maple food available at the festival, though, including samples of mac and cheese after judges rank entries of Sunday’s mac and cheese cook-off at 1 p.m.

Parking for the festival is free, and gate admission costs $6. Children aged five and under can enter for free with an adult. Gate admission includes entrance to the farm museum and free entertainment, but rides, the demolition derby, and the monster truck show cost extra.

Festivalgoers can ride on rides from when they open at 10 a.m. until the end of the day with a $6 wristband, which can be purchased at the gate. The monster truck show is on Saturday and starts off with a pit party at 1 p.m. The show officially starts at 2 p.m. Tickets for this show start at $15 for adults and $10 for children. The demolition derby starts at noon on Sunday, and tickets start at $10 for adults and $6 for children. Those who would like to watch the monster truck show or the demolition derby must purchase gate admission separately.
