We’ve been singing the praises of our favorite viral Amazon nightgown dress, but now we’ve found another cute and comfy frock we’ll be wearing for the foreseeable future. It’s a pretty much perfect spring dress — it’s soft and stretchy, so it moves with the body; it has 3/4-length sleeves and a flattering midi length; and, drumroll please, it has pockets.

Finding an actually comfortable dress that you can just throw on and go is tricky, which is why we love the Merokeety 3/4 Balloon-Sleeve Midi Dress so much. Four Underscored editors have been wearing it — and we only keep finding good things to say about the $36 dress.

This T-shirt dress feels soft like pajamas but looks polished enough to wear to the office or on a spring outing. We love how easy it makes to pull an outfit together — pair it with your favorite denim jacket and sneakers or dress it up with ankle boots and trench coat. It comes in 11 striped colors and four solid shades, plus a short-sleeve version.

“This easy-to-slip-on dress is perfect for those days when you don’t want to dress up but still want to feel put together,” editorial coordinator Rachel Dennis says. In fact, the ease of wearing this dress was the major selling point for all of us editors. I was pleasantly surprised by how many outfits I could make with the dress and pieces already in my closet — it goes with cardigans, jackets (shackets too) and trench coats, and basically any footwear, from sandals to boots.

With such big variations on sizing, fit and quality across Amazon’s fashion offerings, you never quite know what you’ll end up with, but we found this one to be true to size and, even better, look exactly like it does in the pictures.

And if you’re deterred by the stripes, we’re here to reassure you that they are surprisingly flattering. Editorial director Chelsea Stone prefers the stripe pattern because it adds a bit of visual interest (although she says the solid hues make for great basics too). Even more, the switch-up from the horizontal stripes to the vertical stripes on the skirt creates a lengthening illusion for the legs. And unlike boxy T-shirt dresses, this one has a cinched, high waist that enhances the figure while complementing the pattern.

We also loved the midi length, which suited our varying heights. Stone says it’s neither too short nor too long. “If you’re on the petite side, the hem will hit mid-calf, which could work with sneakers or ballet flats,” associate testing writer Carolina Gazal adds. For those on the taller side, it’ll hit just below the knee. Dennis also notes that the length makes it an office-appropriate choice.

While not technically a nap dress, it does have a pajama-level softness to it, so we wouldn’t be surprised if it encouraged some snoozing. We were all impressed by the stretchy and comfortable feel of the fabric, which has a nice weight and drape to it. Plus, it’s machine-washable so it gets points for being easy to clean, too.

We’ve been loving the mileage we’ve gotten out of it thus far this spring and already have more plans for this versatile dress. Dennis says she’s packing it for a cruise trip next month, and I’m thinking of grabbing one in a different color for my mom for coordinating (but not too matchy-matchy) Mother’s Day outfits.
